Notes/Observations about the run:

I took yesterday off. I am learning that if I want to do a faster run for now, that the next day needs be a rest day to let the leg recover a little more.

This morning's run was tough, where the town has been working on the dirt road and then last night's rain, left everything muddy/slimey and exposed even more rocks to avoid.

The first half mile at 6:00 AM still really sucks. I just ain't a early morning runner and probably never will be.

So even though Bennie wanted to do a real hard interval when we saw the Doe and her fawn at the upper gate (he was in full 4-paw drive), he took off. I had to grab the leash and keep things reasonable, he wanted to play with the fawn pretty bad. I was more worried about doing a face plant since I didn't have good grip.

We did slow back down pretty quickly and never sped up that much again

Once we got over to Tiffany we did better and then back up on top we picked up the pace again. In between while on the dirt, I didn't even try to pick up the pace.

The temps were not bad 70's is fine, but that 98% humidity did take the zing out of me by the time I got back to Steven's Hill, it had gotten to me and then I just finish.

No second run - too hot for running outside and I didn't want to go on the treadmill a second time this week. I love the treadmill, but I also tend to run a little too fast on them and the leg was a touch too sore to be stoopid today. So just the one run.

As warm and humid as it is, I prefer this weather over the 20*F that will be here before we know it. I can still go out in shorts and t-shirt and not freeze my arse off ;-)
Aches and Pains:
Left Leg - still a little sore after Wednesday's treadmill run, but coming along better than I thought it would.
Hamstrings - same as always.

Shoes Used:
Nike LunarGlide 7
Mileage
133.92
Remarks: On the tar they were great, but on the muddy/slimey stuff after last night's rain, not quite enough traction, so I slowed way down and with the rocks all disturbed from the work on the road, needed to be careful of where I landed, probably need a rock plate for a few days down there
